Gardenias are a very special flower in the Martin family and for years and years they’ve shown up as a symbol of hope in challenging times, whether on a blooming bush outside a window or on a painting in a doctor’s office. The Martin family commissioned this painting for their mom for Christmas ‘23. They also have a tradition of hiding hearts within things, so there’s a hidden heart petal if you look closely enough.
