IN THE STUDIO

Currently I’m working on a grant project for The Culver City Arts Foundation titled Save LA, Save our Planet. I’m painting two 18x24” paintings of popular hiking trails (Griffith Park and Escondido Falls) to donate to two small businesses in Culver City that are sustainability certified. The intention is for the businesses to hang the paintings in high traffic areas where customers will see them. Hopefully they will inspire locals to get outside more and enjoy all the natural beauty our city has to offer. With mental health issues on the rise, it’s been scientifically proven that spending more time outdoors enhances serotonin levels, alleviates anxiety, and reduces loneliness by helping you to connect to your local community. Donating to sustainability certified businesses is simply a way to reward them for doing their part to help the environmental crisis we are facing.
