Currently, I’m working on a grant project for the Culver City Arts Foundation titled Save LA, Save Our Planet. As part of this project, I’m creating two 18x24” paintings featuring popular local hiking trails—Griffith Park and Escondido Falls. These paintings will be donated to two sustainability-certified small businesses in Culver City.
The goal is for these pieces to be displayed in high-traffic areas where customers will see them, ideally inspiring locals to spend more time outdoors and appreciate the natural beauty our city has to offer. With mental health issues on the rise, it’s been scientifically proven that spending time in nature can boost serotonin levels, reduce anxiety, and ease feelings of loneliness by fostering a deeper connection with one’s community.
By donating these paintings to sustainability-certified businesses, I also hope to recognize and support their commitment to helping address the environmental crisis we’re facing.
